In this episode I encourage you to think outside the box, or rather outside the field, when it comes to livestock. What about people in small spaces? How about urban livestock keeping? I discuss raising livestock like Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and B. Dubia roaches for my bearded lizards and mealworms for chickens. We think about societies where eating insects is normal (and actually a very good low resource bioavailable source of protein.) So let’s open the barn door and rethink livestock in our speculative fiction worlds.
